The National Security Coordinator of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) and Chairman of the Lagos Zone of Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD), Comrade (Alhaji) Saheed Omogbolahan Adigun, has extended warm felicitations to the National President of NUPENG, Comrade (Otunba, Dr.) Salimon Akanni Oladiti (JP), on the occasion of his birthday.
October 10, a day Otunba Oladiti annually dedicates to thanksgiving and praise, was marked with tributes from across the labour movement. In his personally signed message, Adigun hailed Oladiti as “a man of destiny and a bridge builder whose leadership is divinely ordained to transform the fortunes of NUPENG.”
“On behalf of the Lagos Zone of PTD and in my capacity as National Security Coordinator of NUPENG, I heartily felicitate my leader and mentor, Otunba Salimon Akanni Oladiti. Today we celebrate resilience, excellence, generosity, humility, patriotism, and the many virtues that define this illustrious Ibadan-born entrepreneur and unionist,” Adigun wrote.
He praised Oladiti’s tenure as transformative, citing reforms, discipline, transparency, and accountability that have repositioned NUPENG. Adigun highlighted landmark achievements under Oladiti’s stewardship, when he was PTF National Chairman for two-term including the establishment of a world-class hotel in Abuja and welfare-driven initiatives that restored dignity and goodwill to members.
Describing Oladiti as “a consummate leader, astute strategist, and philanthropist,” Adigun noted that his cerebral disposition and progressive vision have converted NUPENG’s potentials into enviable realities within a short time.
“Your dedication, charisma, and attention to detail have already distinguished you as a born leader. I am proud of you and confident that our Union will achieve greater milestones under your leadership and guidance,” Adigun added.
Adigun concluded with prayers for Oladiti’s continued health, wisdom, and long life: “May God bless you, your family, and your business. Happy birthday, sir. Congratulations.”
