The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rasak Akorede Olojede, has announced the passing of his beloved father, Alhaji Raimi Olojede, the Akogun of Ibasa & Ijegun Egba, Satellite Town.
In a heartfelt statement, Hon. Olojede described his father as a man whose life embodied values, wisdom, service, and devotion to family. He expressed gratitude for the lessons instilled in him and requested prayers and support for the family during this difficult time.
“It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved father, Alhaji Raimi Olojede. Beyond the personal loss, his life represented a legacy of values, wisdom, service, and family devotion. I remain grateful for the lessons and principles he instilled in us. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest, forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and admit him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.”

“Alhaji Raimi Olojede’s passing will truly leave a significant void in the Ibasa and Ijegun Egba community, where he was revered as a custodian of tradition and a father figure. His legacy of honesty, humility, and service will continue to inspire generations.

He said: “I received with great shock the passing of your father, the late Alhaji Raimi Olojede, the Akogun of Ibasa & Ijegun Egba, Satellite Town. Although he was aged, but the death of a beloved one is usually devastating no matter how old the person may be.
“We should be consoled by the fact that she lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation. He dedicated his life to impacting and shaping the lives of leaders and everyone he came in contact with.
“His death is no doubt a heavy loss to the family and our entire community. The Lord will comfort you, your other siblings and everyone else connected with him especially the traditional institutions.
“My deep condolences go to the entire family as well as the Ijesa community. I pray God grants her eternal rest and gives you, your siblings and the entire Ibasa & Ijegun Egba, Satellite Town community the courage and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” Chief Eze added.
A Legacy Remembered
Alhaji Raimi Olojede was widely respected for his devotion to tradition, his role in fostering unity, and his commitment to community development. His passing leaves a significant vacuum in the cultural and political life of Oriade LCDA and Lagos State.
