In the unfolding political situation of Osun Central ahead of the 2027 elections, one name is rising above the noise: Barrister Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN (KRAD).
For a district that needs more than a senator — a voice, a brain, and a character — KRAD has become the rallying point. His journey is not that of a political tourist; he is a dyed-in-the-wool progressive whose loyalty to the APC has been tested and proven.
After his disqualification in the 2024 governorship race, he did not defect, rant, or rebel. Instead, he stayed, worked for the party’s victory, and waited patiently.
That rare loyalty has earned him endorsements from respected traditional rulers, including the Eburu of Iba Land, Oba Prof. Adekunle Adeogun-Okunoye.
KRAD’s credentials extend far beyond politics. As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he has been a trusted legal pillar to leaders and institutions, including former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
His reputation for competence, confidentiality, and integrity makes him uniquely suited for the Senate, where laws are crafted and scrutinized.
His recognition is not limited to Nigeria. On February 24, 2026, the Georgia House of Representatives in the United States adopted Resolution 1449 in his honour, citing his distinguished legal service, human rights advocacy, and defence of constitutional democracy. Americans praised his pro bono work for environmental justice, labour rights, and indigent persons — a global honour for a man who insists: “I don’t go around with cameras before helping people.”
Despite international acclaim, KRAD remains firmly rooted in Osogbo, his only home. Since 2017, his office has been open to the people. He facilitated the siting of an Air Force Base in Osun, is planning cybersecurity training for youths, and consistently preaches peace and dialogue. His philosophy is clear: “Nobody wins when violence prevails.”
The APC primary already gave a preview of the people’s will — KRAD polled 26,655 votes, a resounding statement of grassroots support. Now, the call is for Osun Central to send its best to the Senate: a constitutional scholar, a bridge-builder, and a man whose phone will still ring for Ikirun, Otan, Ila, and Osogbo.
The case is clear. The people have spoken. The moment is now.
