DevReporting, an online news platform dedicated to fostering informed dialogue, balanced journalism, and meaningful impact on development issues, has commenced its awareness campaign ahead of a landmark 3-in-1 event featuring a documentary screening and the official launch of its foundation.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and DevReporting are partnering on the event expected to spotlight accountability in local governance and drive development journalism.
The awareness campaign of the event, expected to take place on October 29, was formally kicked-off on Monday, during a courtesy visit by the media organisation delegation to the management of the university.
According to the DevReporting Managing Editor, Mrs Christiana Alabi-Akande, who led the delegation, with Associate Editor, Samson Ademola, the landmark event would feature the premiere of the investigative documentary, titled: “LG Billions in the Dark.”
The organisation during the event would also formally launch the Development Reporting Africa Foundation (DRAF), and a strategic fundraising drive.
The delegation while introducing the initiative, during the meeting with UNILAG management, expressed gratitude to the institution for hosting the event, emphasising the importance of bridging academic communities and civic discourse.
