The Akpugo community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State has reaffirmed its support for Governor Peter Mbah, commending his administration’s bold strides in strengthening the education sector.
Speaking on behalf of community stakeholders, Chief Simon Eze praised the Governor’s recent approval of the recruitment of 6,580 qualified candidates into public schools across the state. The recruitment spans academic, technical, and administrative roles, with a strong focus on enhancing the operations of Enugu’s 267 Smart Green Schools — institutions designed to deliver modern, technology-driven learning experiences.
In his remarks, Chief Eze, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Seamark Electric Plc and Golden Tree Hotel in Satellite Town, Lagos, described the initiative as a landmark decision that reflects the Governor’s vision of transforming education into a catalyst for sustainable development. He noted that the recruitment will not only address teacher shortages but also ensure that students benefit from highly skilled professionals capable of delivering quality instruction aligned with global standards.
Community leaders in Akpugo hailed the move as a significant step toward bridging educational gaps and preparing young people for future opportunities.
