Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has firmly denied reports suggesting that he had tendered his resignation from office.
Speaking to State House correspondents after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, General Musa described the claims as baseless and misleading.
He emphasized that he remains fully committed to his duties and continues to serve in his role as Defence Minister.
The clarification comes amid circulating rumors on social media and in some news outlets, which alleged that the Minister had stepped down. General Musa’s statement aims to put an end to speculation and reassure the public of his ongoing service in the administration.
He said he had neither contemplated nor discussed resigning from office, attributing the rumours to individuals dissatisfied with the progress being made in addressing the country’s security challenges.
