Governor Sanwo-Olu Leads Monthly Sanitation Exercise in Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday joined senior government officials in the Ojuelegba area to participate in the state’s monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to promoting public hygiene and environmental sustainability across the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by key officials, including the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering a cleaner, healthier Lagos.

Earlier in the week, the Lagos State Government issued a public reminder encouraging residents to actively engage in the monthly exercise

According to the commissioner, a cleaner and healthier Lagos is a collective responsibility.

Wahab stressed that proper waste disposal, regular environmental maintenance, and adherence to sanitation guidelines are essential to preventing flooding, reducing environmental hazards, and promoting public health.
