Edo Queens Clinch 2025/26 NWFL Title

Edo Queens have emerged champions of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) for the 2025/26 season.

The team secured the title following a goalless draw against Bayelsa Queens in the final round of the NWFL Premiership Super Six, held on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

This is their second NWFL title in three years for coach Moses Aduku’s team. Before the game, Ada Bendel were on nine points, needing only one point to be crowned champions.

In the other games on the same day, Nasarawa Amazons drew with Rivers Angels, as did Abia Angels and FC Robo Queens.

The final standings showed that Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons finished second on eight points each.

Abia Angels finished on six points, Robo Queens ended the campaign on four points, and Rivers Angels also got the same number of points.
