Area E Police Commander Chike Oti Holds Special Thanksgiving After Successful Surgery
The Area E Police Commander in Festac Town, Lagos, ACP Chike Godwin Oti (Ezeabata), on Sunday, May 24, 2026, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God and to those who stood by him during a special thanksgiving service at the Church of Pentecost Anglican Communion, Festac Town. The service followed his recent successful kidney surgery.
ACP Oti explained that his mission was simply to return thanks to God for His faithfulness toward his family, health, and his meritorious service in the Nigeria Police Force.
He also appreciated the anointed men of God for their intercession, noting that their prayers had yielded results. He likened prayers to deposits in a bank, saying their dividends manifest in due season.
Following the thanksgiving, the Area Commander hosted a grand banquet at Canary World Event Center, Festac Town, tagged “Survival Party.” The celebration drew business elites, politicians, family members, colleagues, friends, dignitaries, and top celebrities.
Among those present were human rights activist and community leader Chief (Comrade) Austine Ikubese and his wife Hon. Sarah Ikubese, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe (President, Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association – ASPAMDA), Hon. Mrs. Maureen Chika Ashara (Executive Vice Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin LGA), Captain Chuks Eze, and several others.
ACP Oti, a former Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), has also served as Provost Marshal of the Lagos State Police Command and as DPO of Agboju Police Station under Oriade LCDA, Amuwo-Odofin.
Since joining the Police, he has consistently distinguished himself as an exceptional officer, known for his dedication, humility, and accessibility to the public. His rapport with youths and community leaders in Oriade LCDA, Amuwo-Odofin, and adjoining communities has earned him widespread admiration.
