The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has restated its commitment to staff development.
The Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services and Administration, Dr. Kelechi Onyekachi Ofoegbu, said this recently at the corporate headquarters of the NUPRC during an industrial relations inspection and monitoring visit conducted by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
The visit was aimed at assessing labour standards, employee welfare, industrial relations practices, dispute resolution mechanisms, and compliance with government policies, while also providing advisory support for continuous workplace improvement.
During the engagement, Dr. Ofoegbu highlighted that the Commission has maintained an effective communication structure, fostering strong working relationships between management and staff.
He noted that recruitment processes, conditions of service, and staff responsibilities are clearly documented and communicated through orientation programs to promote transparency, accountability, and fairness.
In his remarks, the Director, Labour, Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mr. Alex Olede, commended the Commission for its effective management practices, positive work environment, and commitment to employee welfare. He promised that appropriate follow-up communication would be made on identified areas of concern.
