President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Ismaeel Ahmed, Executive Chairman of the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (PiCNG & EV), on the occasion of his birthday, commending his contributions to public service, youth mobilisation, and good governance.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Ahmed as a committed public servant who has played a pivotal role in advancing key national programmes, particularly in the energy and transportation sectors.
Tinubu specifically praised Ahmed’s leadership of the PiCNG & EV initiative, which he noted remains one of the administration’s most ambitious interventions aimed at providing affordable and sustainable energy alternatives for transportation across the country.
The President emphasised that the initiative is central to his administration’s broader energy transition and cost-reduction strategy, designed to ease the burden of transportation costs on Nigerians while promoting cleaner energy solutions.
Describing Ahmed as a “dedicated emerging leader,” Tinubu said the celebrant has remained consistent in strengthening the progressive movement since the early days of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He recalled Ahmed’s role in the formation of the All Progressives Youth Forum, as well as his tenure as APC National Youth Leader, during which he mobilised young Nigerians into the party and helped deepen youth participation in politics.
The President also highlighted Ahmed’s contributions in government, noting his service as Senior Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Investments, where he was involved in the implementation of key social intervention programmes.
Tinubu further acknowledged Ahmed’s strategic role in the build-up to the 2023 general elections, where he served as Secretary of the Policy and Strategy Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, contributing to the articulation of policy frameworks that shaped the administration’s agenda.
He expressed confidence in Ahmed’s continued capacity to contribute meaningfully to national development, particularly through innovative programmes that align with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
President Tinubu wished the celebrant good health, renewed strength, and wisdom, urging him to continue to serve the nation with dedication as he grows in age and impact.
