LAGOS EDUCATION DISTRICT II EXCELS AT NATIONAL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Lagos State Education District II once again excelled with distinctions as the Principal of Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School, Mrs. Buhari Vinuyon, emerged winner of the “Most Outstanding Educational Institution Administrator” award. The school itself, Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School, also received the prestigious “Outstanding Educational Institution” award.

The recognition was presented by the National Productivity Centre, Abuja, in collaboration with the Leadership and Professional Ethics Consultants, at the just-concluded National Award of Excellence in Education ceremony.

The awards celebrate exceptional administrators, educators, and institutions that have demonstrated remarkable productivity, leadership, and ethical standards in the nation’s education sector.

On her return, Mrs. Buhari Vinuyon was warmly received at the Education District II Headquarters by the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, who congratulated her and the entire school community for bringing pride to the District and Lagos State.

“This is a well-deserved recognition of hard work, commitment, and excellence,” said Mr. Sanni “Eva Adelaja Girls Junior Secondary School has consistently represented the District with distinction, and this award is a testament to the dedication of the management, teachers, and students.”

He further charged the award-winning Principal to sustain the high standards that earned her national recognition and to continue mentoring other school leaders within the District.

“Let this achievement inspire others. Education District II remains committed to promoting a culture of excellence and productivity across all schools,” the Tutor-General added.

In her response, Mrs. Buhari Vinuyon expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government and the Education District II leadership for their continuous support and motivation. She dedicated the awards to her staff and students, noting that teamwork, discipline, and innovation made the success possible.

“This honour belongs to every teacher and student who works daily to uphold our school’s values. We will continue to strive for excellence and make the District proud,” she said.

Education District II continues to distinguish itself as a model of excellence, producing outstanding educators and institutions recognised at both state and national levels.
