The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA in Lagos State, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede has extended his appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the 5 years anniversary on the throne of His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Abdul Afeez Oriyomi Shittu (Adeyemi 1) Olu of Ibasa, Ijegun Egba, Oguntedo, Opetedo and Satellite Town, Lagos on Friday October 24, 2025.
In an appreciation statement by the Chairman’s Chief Press Secretary, he described Oba Abdul Afeez Oriyomi Shittu as an epitome of dedication and selflessness in public and community service.
He stated that the traditional ruler had lived an impactful and purposeful life.
The statement read in part, “I once again celebrate His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Abdul Afeez Oriyomi Shittu (Adeyemi 1) Olu of Ibasa, Ijegun Egba, Oguntedo, Opetedo and Satellite Town for the impactful and purposeful life that he has lived, especially in the last 5 years of his reign. He is the epitome of dedication and selflessness in public and community service.”
He added, “Since ascending the throne of his forefathers as Kabiyesi in 2020 he has displayed exemplary leadership in his domain. I salute his passion, words of wisdom, support, prayers, and commitment to the growth and development of our community.
“Indeed, our people are lucky to have a visionary and highly resourceful traditional leader like Oba Oriyomi Shittu as our paramount ruler. He is is dedicated and vibrant monarch, who is always at the forefront of advocating for justice, equity, and fairness for the people of this community, business owners, Yorubas, non-Yoruba alike, and Nigeria as a whole.
“He has used his wealth of experience and knowledge to contribute to the peace, progress, and development of this land. His commitment to the preservation and promotion of our rich cultural heritage and history is unparalleled.
“I congratulate Your Majesty once again, indeed it is a moment of joy and a reflection of the good work of Your Majesty to the people and communities you are serving within the period of your stewardship.
“It is my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to bestow on him good health, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for a continuous reign of peace, prosperity, and love in Lagos as a whole. He will witness many more fruitful years on the throne of his forefathers for the continuous service to humanity, Lagos, and our dear country, Nigeria.”
