Former Chief of Staff, Dr Kola Ademujimi, former Deputy Governorship candidate, Engr. Gboye Adegbenro and prominent indigenes of Ondo State have felicitate the former Governor of the state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, as he clocked 70 years.
Mimiko, the only surviving former governor of the state and the first to spend uninterrupted eight years in office has reached 70 years of age, eliciting joy among his supporters and political associates.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Ademujimi, who was the Chief of Staff to Mimiko during his eight-year tenure, described his friend of over 40 years as a caring family man and hard-working individual who impacted the lives of the citizens.
Ademujimi said “Mimiko is a devoted and caring family man, handsome, humane, humble, humorous, and a very hardworking governor of Ondo State.
“Your impactful legacies in many sectors of the economy, especially in education, health, and urban renewal, speak volumes.
“You will forever be remembered as one governor who worked so hard without thinking of your pocket. I am proud to be part of your team that worked throughout the eight years of impactful and excellent governance.
“God shall meet you at the points of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Adegbenro, in his statement, described Mimiko as a true legend who truly served the state with his ability.
“He served without any blemish. He excelled in terms of rural electrification, rural development, and uplifting the standard of education in the state.
Adegbenro said for the first time in the history of Ondo State, health delivery was applauded by WHO. He prayed for a long life for the former governor.
