Ololade Aina Assumes Duty As New Permanent Secretary For Wealth Creation

The newly deployed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment (MWC&E), Mrs. Ololade Olasupo Aina, on Tuesday, assumed duty at the Ministry, succeeding Esv. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka, who has also been redeployed to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development.

The deployment of Mrs. Aina and some of her colleagues within the body of Permanent Secretaries, forms part of the Governor’s continuous commitment to strengthening leadership across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in line with the strategic vision of a #Greater Lagos.

Mrs. Aina was warmly received by the management and staff of the Ministry during a brief welcome ceremony held at the Ministry’s Conference Room, where the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Esv. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka officially handed over the reins of leadership to her.

In her remarks, Mrs. Aina appreciated members of staff of the Ministry for the warm reception accorded her and assured the staff of her readiness to build on the solid foundation already laid by her predecessor.

She pledged to sustain the spirit of teamwork and professionalism that the Ministry is known for while also prioritising staff welfare and capacity development.

According to her, “We are one big family in this Ministry, and together, we will continue to move it forward. I urge everyone to remain committed, innovative, and dedicated to the vision of creating opportunities and empowering Lagosians for sustainable growth.”

Mrs. Aina, a seasoned administrator and technocrat, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.

In his brief remarks, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Esv. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka appreciated the management and staff for their dedication and urged them to continue to give their best under the new leadership, assuring Mrs. Aina of their unwavering support to ensure continued excellence in service delivery.

The new Permanent Secretary’s career spans the private and public sectors, where she has held several strategic positions, including Relationship Manager, Head of Human Resource, and Administration.

She is a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

Among her notable achievements in public service are the creation of the innovative LASG Learning Management System (LMS) for e-learning during the COVID-19 lockdown, the Lagos State Competency Framework, and the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), among other impactful initiatives.
