The Hydrographer of the Nigerian Navy (NN), and President, Nigerian Hydrographic Society (NHS), Rear Admiral Ayodeji Olugbode has congratulated Lt. Gen. Yahaya Farouk on the confirment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
Lt. Gen. Farouk was bestowed with the Honourary Doctorate Degree by the prestigious University during the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) and 42nd Convocation ceremony and awards of certificates held in Sokoto on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
In a congratulatory statement recieved by Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com), Olugbode described the honour as “well-deserved”, citing Farouk’s legacy of outstanding service, commitment, and professionalism as a distinguished officer of the Nigerian Army, as well as his unwavering contributions to the progress and security of Nigeria.
