Immediate past Edo Deputy Governor Philp Shuaibu has assured Nigerians of a better future under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that he has the capacity and ability to fix Nigeria.
He dismissed the opposition coalition as lacking what it takes to unseat the President come 2027.
The Director-General of the National Institute for Sports (NIS) spoke on Saturday when he was hosted by the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in Abuja, to intimate members of the group of the achievements of the administration in the last two years.
He noted that those coalescing against the President are being frustrated as they have lost grip of further plundering of the fortune of the country, hence their coming together, which he said would fail and fall before the next general elections.
According to him: “Nigeria was shaky and sinking . Those in coalition destroyed the country such that its foundation was already shaken. But, here we have a man (Tinubu) that is putting everything together to strengthen the country and putting it back on track, but the coalition is not happy that President Tinubu is fixing the shaky foundation, hence the attack on him.
“Asiwaju is helping us to build a future that we all can be proud to retire to. Those ganging up know this, but they are just adamant to pull him down. We are not going to allow those who destroy the country to come back to the office.
“Today, Nigeria is in safe hands. Asiwaju has what it takes to fix the country. He did it in Lagos state, and just in two years, he has changed the narrative and put the country back on track.”

Shuabiu cited the recent commendation of the state of the country’s economy by global critical stakeholders, such as the Workd Bank, World Trade Organisation ( WTO), and others.
“You will recall the head of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Okonjo Iwela recently commented on the state of our economy. You know the integrity of Iwela. The World Bank and others are making their statements on the stability of our economy. They commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for stabilizing the economy.”
He tasked all support groups of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to embark on massive education of the masses on the “steady and impressive progress” being made under Tinubu in the last 2 years.
“I am calling on members of all support groups and especially, the TSG to go out and educate our people, especially those in the rural areas of what Mr. President has done, and he is still doing. Look at our foreign reserve that wad deflected before he came on board. Look at how our economy is bouncing back.”
“Now it is the duty of the support groups to launch out and preach the gospel according to what President Tinubu has done in the last 2 years. We can not and we should not keep queit. If there will be any coalition at all, it should be for the re-election of Asiwaju come 2027. He has what it takes to fix the country.
The former Deputy Governor commended the leadership of TSG for the initiative of engaging political appointees to brief members of the support groups on what the administration is doing in our various sectors.
The Director-General of TSG, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakassi said the group has perfected plans to engage all appointees, with a view for them to debrief members of the group on the achievements of government for onward dissemination to the people, especially those at the grassroots.
