President Bola Tinubu on Sunday received Otunba Segun Showunmi, a former spokesperson to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at his Lagos residence as part of visits marking the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Otunba Showunmi is also the convener of the National Opposition Movement Coalition (NOMC), a platform aimed at fostering grassroots consensus for the selection of future leaders and a chieftain of PDP.
Reacting to his visit to Mr. President on his social media post seen by Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com), Showunmi said:
“Sallah Day 3! I spent quality time with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. It was engaging and nostalgic.”
The visitor was hosted as President Tinubu continues his stay in Lagos, where he has been since May 27.
During Tinubu’s time in Lagos state, the president participated in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and inaugurated several development projects.
Tinubu is expected to return to the Federal Capital Territory after the Sallah festivities.
