The Attack Lion, Roars no more: Doyin Okupe dies @72
Oh Omoba Dr Adedoyin Ajibike Okupe, Prince of Iperu, omo agbonmagbe, very gifted, very tough, unafraid to push an agenda he believes in, long suffering political player.
All through his life it was not unlike him to hold a strong position and also change his mind depending on how he convinces himself of the rightness of his new position.
He does it so effortlessly that he earns both admiration and condemnation in near equal measures.
Does he give a hoot no he did not for true to his attack lion cognomen he did it his own way.
He had battled his health challenge for a while, he had also become much more spiritual often preaching the gospel, I guess it was in preparation to meet his maker.
It is sobering to write on the death of Omoba Doyin Okupe omo Iperu Akesan Bale Oja.
We have lost a colorful character, a brilliant medical doctor, a man of culture, a combatant with spoken arguments for narrative redirection.
May your soul rest in peace, may your family and loved ones be comforted.
Otunba Segun Showunmi
