The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has reduced the price of petrol to N860 per litre.
This move followed a recent reduction in pump price of the product by Dangote Refinery, which also lowered their fuel price from N890 to N825 per litre.
Hammed Fashola, National Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), confirmed the price reduction, calling it a positive development for Nigerians.
While the price change has not yet appeared on the official portal, NNPC has assured the public that updates are in progress.
The price cut is expected to bring some relief to consumers who have been groaning under the burden of high fuel costs for some time.
