The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Lasbat Meranda has announced her resignation as number 3 citizen at the hallowed chamber.
The first female Speaker in Lagos State made the shocking declaration at the ongoing plenary of the House on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Meranda said she had to make a personal sacrifice to protect the legislative institution.
The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojeed Fatai, also resigned.
