Barely 24 hours to his birthday anniversary, the Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group, Dr. Kola Adesina MFR, has taken to his social media platforms to extend appreciation to everyone who has been part of his success story.
The business leader who is also the Chairman of AXA Mansard Insurance Plc. will be 61 years on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
The energy guru was since in the early hours of Monday offering his profound gratitude to all his mentors and mentees for their unwavering and invaluable support, adding that thier collaboration, consistency, dedication and kindness to him will never go unnoticed.
His message reads in full:
Speaking at a recent leadership and economic forum in Lagos, Adesina addressed the fallout from the collapse of CBEX, a now-defunct digital investment platform that left thousands of Nigerians financially stranded.
“Respect means honoring the dignity, worth, and contributions of others—regardless of their status or background.
“Gratitude is remembering the kindness shown to us and expressing sincere appreciation for it.
“Together, these values strengthen relationships, inspire trust, and create a ripple of goodwill that builds better communities.
“To all my teachers—formal and informal, older and younger—in my 22,279 days of existence, I thank you deeply.
“From my family (parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins); peers (collaborators, competitors, and those with shared experiences); community (elders, neighbors, role models); accidental teachers (those I met briefly but whose lessons still guide me); academic guides (from nursery to university); professionals (bosses, colleagues, partners, industry experts); to those who offered spiritual and moral guidance—each of you has shaped me.
“To the inspirers, the correctors who helped me see and fix my weaknesses, the challengers who pushed me beyond my comfort zone, and the silent teachers who led by example—you have all contributed to my growth.
“And to the events, challenges, and personal trials that taught me lessons without a human instructor, I am equally grateful.
“All of you are helping me bake a better me, day by day.
“When we respect people and never forget their good deeds, we not only uplift them—we enrich our own humanity.
“Finally, to the Teacher of teachers, God Almighty, I say a very BIG THANK YOU. In another 24 hours, You have chosen to add one more year to my life.
“Thank You, LORD.”
