REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN’T DIE FOR ANY POLITICIAN BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER ELECTIONS

  1. Former Governor Engr. Segun Oni and Dr. Kayode Fayemi were once political foes, but now they belong to the same party. Both are alive as friends, yet some people lost their lives fighting for them.
  2. By this time in 2027, one of the two prominent presidential candidates will emerge as the President. His wife will become the First Lady, his children will become VIPs, while my Facebook friends and I will return to our different jobs—journalism, care attendant, banking, security in London. Life goes on.
  3. Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Governor Aregbesola once couldn’t stand each other, but today, they belong to the same party. Some people died supporting them, yet they are now friends.
  4. Who would have thought that Atiku would visit Obasanjo at Ota Farm after all the political drama? Politicians belong to one big family. They have their interests at stake—don’t die for them, especially when you have nothing at stake.

Vote—that is your obligation. You do not owe anyone your life. Value yourself, because if you stay alive, you can be better than them.

Say no to violence. Say no to bloodshed. Make your choice with your PVC, and let God enthrone a leader in 2027.

After all, who even knows which of today’s gladiators will live till 2027?

Let’s live a purposeful life, jare!
