2026 Holds Greater Promises For Oriade LCDA – Hon. Rasaq Olojede

The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA in Lagos State, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede, on Wednesday assured residents of his constituency that his Government would deliver more life changing projects in 2026 for the greater benefit of all , irrespective of their tribe or religion.

The Chairman made these remarks in his New Year message at his office few days after a successful three-day Christmas Grotto which he organised for the children who are accompanied by their parents in collaboration with Pace Entertainment.

He said: “I want to thank God for giving us this New Year and also thank all residents of Oriade LCDA for being peaceful and for cooperating with our government in delivering services in 2025 and we are ready to take this LCDA to the next level by the grace of God.”

On expectations for Oriade LCDA, Hon. Akorede said the communities under his watch would witness more prosperity as the enabling environment for the economy to thrive had already been firmly established.

He said: “I want you to know that 2026 has a lot in stock for all of us and we must stand up for a better Oriade and a greater Lagos.

“I believe the GDP of Oriade will grow with the cooperation, understanding and support of the citizenry so that this LCDA can simply get better.”

The Chairman attributed the successes his administration has recorded in the last few months to the sterling efforts of security agencies in keeping the communities safe, adding that Lagos State under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu has emerged as the safest place to live in Africa.

He also assured that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure that ongoing capital projects across the LCDA would be completed in record time.

Hon. Olojede said: “The modest successes we have recorded would not have been possible without the efforts of security agencies in the State, our party leaders, the counsellors, my predecessor, collaborative initiatives of community leaders and ultimately the autonomy for grassroots government championed by His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu GCFR.

“I want to specially appreciate the efforts of security agencies for their dogged contribution in keeing our LCDA safer for habitation and for businesses to thrive positively. Let me also assure residents that we are committed to their well-being, security and safety.”

The Chairman stressed that he was thrilled by the success of the Christmas Grotto organised for the children, he commended Pace Entertainment for their professionalism, by ensuring the event was peacefully conducted without any incidents adding that the programme thankfully met its set objectives.

According to him, “The positive impact of the fiesta on the economy of the LCDA and its socio-psychological impacts on the children was massive and encouraging. They are invisible yet profoundly influential, guiding decisions, molding perceptions, and orchestrating human interaction and making them true future leaders they are and making them have a feel and look of the yuletide season and its essence right within their locality.

The Chairman assured of his administration’s commitment to making life better and more prosperous for all residents in the New Year, saying that residents should expect bigger and greater accomplishments which would happen across different sectors in line with the THEMES+ agenda of his administration in Year 2026.

“I wish every resident a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We are thankful to God for the grace to see the New Year and we welcome 2026 with hope and faith. Year 2025 was a year of great strides for us in Oriade and we would never take any of the feats recorded for granted.

“I want to also assure Oriade residents that 2026 is the year we will act with speed to deliver more good governance and dividends of democracy that you voted us in for. As your Executive Chairman, I promise to continue to provide leadership that will usher in greater opportunities and more prosperous life for constituents which will cut across good health care services, quality education, welfare, among others.

“We will work for Oriade better and faster in 2026 to accelerate developments across the identified areas in our THEMES+ agenda,” Olojede stated.

“My New Year message to all Oriade residents is not to despair but to remain hopeful of greater prosperity for our communities. I want to assure you that better times are ahead of us. We are committed to ensuring that we can give hope to the hopeless. This was our solemn promise and we’re committed to achieving it. We wish all Oriade residents the very best this New Year, 2026” he added.
