The Cheetahs of Benin coach Gernot Rohr has conceded the top spot in the group to Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Beninoise missed the opportunity to go top of the group on Tuesday after they allowed the Amavubi of Rwanda to come from a goal to win 2-1. Despite the defeat, the Beninoise stayed second in the group with 6 points with 2 matches to go.
” The positive point is that in the confrontation, it’s still Benin who is ahead. ” We have our destiny in our hands and I think we will finish second in their group”. ” We are convinced that we can do it”, he said. Benin will face Libya on day 5 of the qualifier in November.
